Insight

Safe behaviour starts with recognition

A traffic rule stays distant when children cannot see themselves in it. The second edition had to show what they can do immediately around large vehicles.

Approach

Romy brings the message close

Ambassador Romy Ruitenbeek spoke the language of the classroom and gave safe behaviour a recognisable face. At CBS De Regenboog in Nieuwendijk, children made a road-safety pact with a driver and viewed their surroundings from the cab.

Result

The cab reveals the difference

On 12 September 2025, the awareness day brought explanation and practice together. Children experienced where a driver’s view ends and connected that experience to clear agreements for safer behaviour.
