Insight

Making an invisible risk visible

Blind spots remain a serious road-safety problem, especially for children and cyclists. For the 2026 edition, we turned National Stay Out of the Blind Spot Day into a campaign that brought visibility, education and activation together.

What we did

One campaign, many touchpoints

For Transport en Logistiek Nederland (TLN), GBE brought strategy, creativity, digital and activation together in one campaign approach. From campaign concept and creative direction to website, social, display, video, activation and media: every touchpoint worked from one recognisable message. View the toolbox

Campaign in action

Everything works as one system

The strength lies not in a single medium, but in the way everything works together. Website, social, banners and video tell the same story, reinforce one another and keep the campaign recognisable at every touchpoint.

The day itself in Rotterdam

Awareness becomes experience

During the third National Stay Out of the Blind Spot Day, the campaign literally came to life in Rotterdam. Children discovered in and around the truck what a driver can and cannot see, and experienced why keeping a safe distance matters.

Romeo and content

A human face for the message

Romeo gave the campaign a recognisable and human face. Video translated the message into content for social and online, while the girl and boy featured in the campaign visuals created recognition and consistency across the campaign.

Visibility and impact

From campaign to public visibility

The campaign gained visibility through owned channels, partners, online advertising and media. This allowed the National Day to grow beyond the event itself and gave the message reach and attention far beyond the location. Result

From concept to visibility

One clear message was translated into a complete campaign in which education, content, activation and visibility reinforce one another. In doing so, we continued to build a recognisable campaign format that lives on beyond the National Day.
